5 Great Mac Apps I’ve discovered in 2022
I’ve been a Mac user for the past 15 years. I’ve desperately tried to find something similar on other platforms and switch to it, but I’ve always returned to the Mac OS. Linux is in great shape, but I find Mac OS more appealing and polished for day-to-day usage.
Probably the most important reason for this is the fact that I can use a wide range of quality software written specifically for the Apple platform. Let’s discuss a few software items that I find interesting.
Tot
The default TextEdit is a nice tool, but I think that it lacks usability. And let’s be honest — it didn’t change much over the past decade.
That’s how I decided to try out Tot. I particularly liked those things:
- Line and Character counter
- Ability to quickly switch between plain text and rich text
- Symbol selector
- Ability to switch between different tabs distinguished by colors.
- Ability to easily reach the app from the Menu Bar
Overall, a great tool to help you track multiple blocks of text at once.
