It’s an August of 2022. More than 10 years have passed since I last used Windows as my primary Operating System. I have an urge to install it on a separate partition of my ThinkPad (which has Ubuntu), but I don’t think I’ll do it anytime soon.

I just don’t have many reasons to do so until something changes. Why? There are at least a few reasons for this.

Microsoft failed at almost everything they Touched.

They have failed at creating a Windows Marketplace. Do you even use it? Unlikely. There are several apps you could try out, but it feels more like a stack of apps grouped together with no real purpose.

Would I want to use it? Not really, and I got used to installing apps from different sources and dealing with the installers.

Thinking about a marketplace on a Windows platform? They are past the time when I would want to use them. Besides, the Universal Windows Platform concept has failed, in my opinion.

Most people never wanted Windows 11

Think about it this way. Most of the people were comfortable enough with Windows 7. Then Windows 8 appeared, and Microsoft tried to revamp the interface.
